“Christianity is in its very essence a resurrection religion. The concept of the resurrection lies at its heart. If you remove it, Christianity is destroyed.”
—John R W Stott
1. It guarantees the deity of the Lord Jesus. (Romans 1:4.)

3. It makes possible the forgiveness of sins. (1 Corinthians 15:17.)

He Lives
We serve a living Savior, He’s in the world today;
I know that He is living, whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He lives, He lives
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me
And talks with me
Along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives,
Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
(A H Ackley, w 1933)
“Our Lord has written the promise
Of resurrection, not in books alone,
But in every leaf of springtime.”
(Martin Luther)
