Jesus  Cares!!!

by Jerry Senn

“Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
“Now when Mary came where Jesus was … she fell at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubledJesus wept ... Then Jesus deeply moved again [He] came to the tomb” (John 11:32-38).
Jesus then raised Mary’s brother, Lazarus, to life with a word. This story impresses us with the humanity of Christ. He felt hurting hearts, extending mercy and grace in this powerful event; A few days after his own resurrection he said, ”I will be with you always ... “ (Matthew 28:20).

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth and song;
As the burdens press, and the cares distress,
And the way grows weary and long?

“Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does he care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said “goodbye”
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks—
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?

O yes, He cares; I know He cares;
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares. He cares.”
